Chuck Ragan, who recently closed the book on Hot Water Music for the forseeable future, has announced one of his first ever solo gigs this August. Ragan, who mentioned the solo act in his farewell letter to HWM fans, said:

I'm working on a solo record that's long overdue and having a damn good time with it. I'll play shows, but for making my way and a living,

The show is set to take place on August 5th in Hollywood, California, and Ragan will be supporting Dustin Kensrue of Thrice who is also debuting new solo material in an acoustic set.
