Whole Wheat Bread bassist Nick Largen was arrested Wednesday in Amherst, NY on charges of first degree robbery

Fighting Records' John Youngman had this to say:

We don't know much about the specifics of what happened and are trying to piece it together at this point, everything we know right now we have learned through local news reports from the area.

We are all deeply saddened by the recent events but the band wants their fans to know that they have no plans to break up and will perform at all of their currently scheduled events

Largen is in police custody and has not contacted Fighting Records, the independent label who released his band's debut CD Minority Rules and plans to release a follow-up entitled Punk Life in October 2006.

Largen was not with the other members of Whole Wheat Bread (singer/guitarist Aaron Abraham and Nick's brother Joseph Largen who plays drums) at the time of the incident. Nick was on temporary hiatus while the band toured Canada with bassist Dan Grundorf (of the Orlando-band One Drop).

The band will not be cancelling any dates on their ongoing tour with the Aquabats, nor their upcoming tour with Reel Big Fish.
