Samiam have completed the mixing process for their upcoming album, and only mastering remains to be completed. The band has been recording at Tiny Telephone in San Francisco, California and are aiming for a September release on Burning Heart and Hopeless Records for the album which is titled Whatever's Got You Down.

Anyhoo, everyone agrees that it's a very strong record and all the songs are solid. Philipp (our man in Germany) said the roughs he heard 'brought tears to his eyes.' Unfortunately, an obscure Zombies cover (not one of their hits, and who knows about the Zombies these days?) we were planning on putting on the album just got used in a Nike commercial. Fuck. Boycott Nike. Boycott everything.

The band released their last record, Astray, in 2000.
