We've been here since 1999, but today (and with this very story) we have reached 20,000 published stories. I'm not one for self-congratulation, so instead I'd like to thank everyone who made this possible. First and foremost, we're here because of all the people who read the site, send in stories, compliment us, condemn us or threaten us with bodily harm. Without readers, there would be no point in writing 10 stories, let alone 20,000.

Of course, thanks also go to our original editors: Scott, Adam and Kip, all of whom helped define the style of the site and helped secure our reputation and credibility. Our newer editors including Brian, Meg, Chris, Justin and our incredibly dedicated reviewers who have helped us reach 5,671 reviews.

A thanks to all the labels and bands who have supported us with news or advertising. The people who believed in us early on like Brett Gurewitz and Jeff Abarta, Louis Posen, Rich Egan, Graham Day, Fat Mike and Erin, Toby Jeg, Tony and Delphine, Vinnie, Var, Dan Yemin, Greg Graffin, Kileen and many others.

Of course, we should mention the bands and labels that inspired us early on; Dischord, Lookout!, Victory, Epitaph, Fat, Fueled By Ramen, Alternative Tentacles, Equal Vision, Vagrant, BYO, Revelation, Fearless, Jade Tree and bands like At the Drive-In, MxPx, Lifetime, Fugazi, Operation Ivy, Bad Religion, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Snapcase, Thursday, Green Day, Less Than Jake, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Ramones, Black Flag, Rocket From the Crypt, Minor Threat, Social Distortion, Kid Dynamite, and NOFX.

Thanks to every band and label out there that makes music exciting enough for us to want to write about every day.
