Simple Plan's Sebastien Lefebvre and longtime friend Patrick Langlois of Role Model Clothing have teamed up to create Man Of The Hour, a new side project/podcast that airs every Saturday at 9 pm EST on idobi Radio. Though Man Of The Hour is theoretically a band with an EP, "En Memoire de la Famille" (In Memory of the Family), the project is currently most visible in its podcast incarnation, because the EP is out of print, and there are no plans to tour.

As for the podcast side, Lefebvre and Langlois decided to do a show for idobi Radio at the suggestion of station head Tom Cheney. When over 12,000 people tuned in to hear the duo, Man Of The Hour was quickly turned into a reoccurring broadcast/podcast. The show currently boasts a total of over 50,000 listeners and more than 275,000 iTunes downloads since its August 13th debut.

Lefebvre is not the first pop-punk musician to launch a popular Podcast feature; Blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus launched a successful podcast last year and eventually joined Fuse.
