Philadelphia's Turmoil and their former label Abacus have parted ways. The band made the statement on their website:

After 11 long years with Century Media Records and Abacus Recordings, we are free. And here, all we had to do was ask….weird. So after 2 LP's, 2 EP's, a couple of cover songs, and a 2-cd discography, we can finally throw what was probably one of the worst recording contracts ever to be signed by humans into the garbage.

This was nothing personal; we've had a chance to work with a lot of great people over the last decade and we'd like to say thank you to Robert, Bori, Ula, Tom B., and Ray Harkins, just to name a few, but after 11 years, it's time for a change.

The band recently released a two CD retrospective titled Staring Back.
