A brave soul known only as Sallad and bearing an email address from the Union Label Group is in the process of creating a database of "DIY Venues" for people to connect with. In his/her's words:

After some time working with in the normal music industry, I got really burned out with it. I realized someone should try to get a database together with a list of functional DIY venues. I'm looking for people that don't want to fuck with Riders, Guarantees, Agents, Labels, Promoter cuts, etc.

I know that there's no better feeling in the world than being in a basement to see some great touring bands, donating whatever you can scrounge up, maybe drinking a beer or two at the show and having a great time.
