"I realize this isn't "punk" related per se but then again, neither is news on Blink 182. So if that goes up, so should this.

For those of you still using Aol Instant Messenger, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, or mIRC. Get with the fucking times. Trillian is a unified messenger that lets you talk to friends on all of the above mentioned systems with an eighth of the resources."
To find out [a lot] more, click "Read More." This actually sounds pretty interesting, I'll have to look into it.

On top of that, it's skinnable. It's skinnable to the point that some of the skins for it are goddamn works of art.

Go check it out here. If you like it keep reading, if you don't--sorry I bothered you, get on with your life.

Now the reason for this post is, Trillian is free. You get this for nothing. There aren't any ads in Trillian. It's yours once you download it. However, to continue development on this money is needed. Here's a message from Scott Werndorfer of Cerulean Studios:

Hi everyone,

Some of you were curious how much we've received in donations so far. To date (since December 2000), with around 300,000 confirmed installation questionnaires (the form you optionally send in when you install Trillian), we've received 256 donations totalling around $3,000. This is obviously not enough to support any sustained efforts of product development, especially as we are now working full-time on developing Trillian.

If you're a satisfied Trillian user, consider that sending us a small donation ($1, $5, $10 - anything, if you can afford it) will greatly prolong our lifespan as a software development company. Some of you might think that sending in a dollar is pointless, but believe us, it's not! We can use that dollar lying squished between your two couch cushions (or the benjamin mushed between the two flaps of your leather wallet), so forgo that next supersized meal (or the oil change for your Ferrari) and send in a donation!

With the next release of Trillian on the horizon, we need your support now more than ever. To send a donation, click on the PayPal link. If you'd prefer to use the Amazon.com Honor System, click here. Finally, if you still want to donate and can't, e-mail us.

Thanks for listening, and a very special thanks to those 256 kind souls that have already donated. You folks rule!

I just dropped 11 bucks of my beer money at them. Yes, that's how much I like this program.
