Sonicnet, reporting on the Rancid / NOFX split on BYO Records (which we reported in August… HA!) also mentioned this : Rancid are also slated to take part in a tribute album for late punk legend Joey Ramone. The band has not decided what song it will record, according to an Epitaph Records publicist. No word on which label will release the tribute. Rancid will be in the studio in November to record songs for the NOFX split.
