"Adding fuel to the fire that for most was made public by the 10-15 buddyhead gossip section, an e-mail supposedly from Rich Egan of Vagrant to Matt Skiba of the Alkaline Trio got circulated around the net and posted on the Alkaline Trio message board.

The validity of the e-mail was all but confirmed when the webmaster of the Alkaline Trio site was told to delete the message board entirely. She wouldn't say for sure who gave the order but hinted it was someone either in or representing the band. Instead of deleting it entirely, she chose to sever all the board's ties to the Alkaline Trio website, where it now exists as a free form board here. While the board remains, the offending thread has been deleted.
