This past December, I caught up with Jason Black, bassist from Gainesville, FL's the Draft, in the midst of a headlining tour with Planes Mistaken For Stars and Fifth Hour Hero. In part 1 of a 2-part interview, we briefly chat about the band's first headlining tour, fan expectations, and upcoming new material. There's also a clip of some live footage from the evening's set.

The Draft have been on an intense touring schedule of both North America and Europe since releasing their debut LP, In A Million Pieces. The album also nabbed the #10 spot on the Punknews.org Best of 2006 list.
