It's been officially approved that the corner of East Second Street and the Bowery in the East Village will be known as "Joey Ramone Place." The site, just steps from the club CBGBs was approved for the sign on Thursday by a local community board after receiving the required petition of local residents. The sign will be erected within a year, Joey's family will choose a date significant to his life to dedicate it.
