Ted Leo is the latest to provide messages of support for PETA2's Go Vegan campaign. Previous spokesbands include Anti-Flag, Rise Against, Death Cab for Cutie, Mates of State, Meg & Dia and many others.

In the new campaign, Leo speaks in a PSA talking about his own veganism and why he made the choice back when he was 18 years old. Leo primarily hopes that people will use the opportunity to think about their choices, noting:

I think that speaking out about anything that is important to you has a place anywhere, and being vegan is an important part of who I am,

If someone sees the ad that I'm in, and they haven't thought about these things before, and it leads them to think about them, that's fantastic,

As with previous PSA spots, PETA2 has launched a contest to coincide with it. They are giving away copies of Leo's new record, Living with the Living as well an iPod.
