After previously announcing a surprise show for Thursday night, garage rockers the Hives revealed that there would be no show. Instead, the band "just decided to finish the album instead." The new, currently unnamed, album will be the follow-up to 2004's Tyrannosaurus Hives.

The band announced a few weeks ago that they were rehearsing for an upcoming recording session.
