According to long-running Cure fansite Chain of Flowers, Robert Smith is apparently denying recent reports of a collaboration with pop-star Ashlee Simpson. Information on the reported denial is scarce, however, the original source of Smith's contribution appears to be an article published over at the Entertainment Weekly magazine website.
