To celebrate the long-awaited second volume in their Plea for Peace compilation series, the Plea for Peace foundation have announced a special acoustic night to take place on May 9th, 2007.

The event is set to take place in San Jose, California and will feature acoustic performances from Matt Skiba (Alkaline Trio), Chuck Ragan (ex-Hot Water Music and Mike Hale (ex-Gunmoll. The show takes place at the MACLA on 510 South First Street.

Due out in April, the second Plea for Peace compilation will include 52 songs from acts like Big D and the Kids Table, Cursive, Alkaline Trio, Samiam, Throwdown, Dead To Me, Rx Bandits, Tim Barry, The Aggrolites and many more. The first edition of the compilation, Plea For Peace/Take Action, was released back in 2001. A corresponding tour took place the same year.
