Davey Havok and Jade Puget recently spoke about their upcoming new full-length together under the name Blaqk Audio. The record is titled CexCells and is due out August 07, 2007. The record has been in the works since 2003.

Though the band spoke quite a bit about that record, of particular note to the zillion or so AFI fans is their plans for the future of that band. Apparently, the group has begun writing again and are hoping to release a new EP culled from the Decemberunderground sessions before the end of the year.

The band also explains their continuously evolving sound and the backlash:

Decemberunderground has brought us to many new people. It's really fantastic for us, because as far as we're concerned, the more the merrier. Anybody that we can reach with our music, anybody that is inspired by our music or appreciates it in any way, we appreciate it and it's fantastic.

We have very wonderful, accepting, open fans. I think they feel that their very, very strong community can only grow stronger with more people who understand and want to be part of what we do.

We've been doing this for a while, so anyone who's that bitter [about AFI going mainstream] probably doesn't listen to us anymore.
