Punknews Feature: CMJ to The Fest 6 (Part 2)

When we left off from the start of our documented story of Punknews making its way down the east coast from CMJ in NYC to the Fest 6 in Gainesville, FL, I had just parted ways with Fake Problems. I returned to my home of Richmond, VA to meet up with fellow 'Org editor and now Canadian defect Ben for two days with the Lawrence Arms/Sundowner/Falcon/American Steel road show, and the 10 hour roadtrip to Gainesville, FL.

Prior to making the long trek to Gainesville, FL, we spent two fun-filled evenings with the traveling circus of The Lawrence Arms/The Falcon/Sundowner/American Steel. Check out a clip from VA Beach.

Night one at the Fest I was stoked to catch Nakatomi Plaza. Their high-energy performance was the perfect kickoff to the weekend's festivities.

San Fran's Dead to Me played at a sold-out crowd at the Venue, one of the weekend's most anticipated performances.

What do bands love at about events like the Fest 6? As Alex (the Gaslight Anthem) and Corey (the Riot Before) display here…..MERCH SWAP!

Playing the same time as a beloved band on Fat Wreck Chords is pretty tough, but when enough people show up with the same enthusiasm, excitement and energy as the band…it's never that much of a problem. Check out three songs from The Gaslight Anthem.
