Rolling Stone is reporting that Blink-182 guitarist Tom DeLonge and drummer Travis Barker and Dave Kennedy (former My Dead Body) have recorded material for a side project called Boxcar Racer. The band's Jerry Finn produced debut album is due in May on MCA records and a short tour will follow. Rolling Stone describes the project as "a combination of Blink and Barker's hardcore roots, like Washington, D.C., underground icons Fugazi, New York City's Quicksand, Swedish anarchists Refused and California funk-punks the Minutemen."
