According to a report from The San Diego Reader, Angels and Airwaves will be hitting the studio next January to begin work on their third album and follow up to I-Empire.

The aticle also mentions the possibility of a reunion from AvA frontman Tom Delonge's former band, Blink-182. An unnamed source in the article commented:

Poppy music is coming back again. When everybody [originally in blink-182] is out of work long enough, we may see them get back together

To that end, the article cites lower sales numbers for both the last Angels & Airwaves album, and the first Plus 44 record.
