Confirming rumors, Dead To Me have cancelled their appearance at this year's FEST. The band posted a MySpace bulletin addressing it:
I can't tell you how sad it makes us to inform you that we are not able to play THE FEST 7 later this month. Jack is about to be a father and needs to be around for his soon to be born son. I tried convincing him that Floyd kinda looks like a baby and maybe Jack could practice changing diapers and holding Floyd like a baby in a gigantic baby bjorn in Gainesville... but he insisted on staying home for, "The real deal". Can't say I blame him really.
No word yet on who'll take their place.
All of this comes as the band is prepared to drop the Little Brother EP and follow it up with their sophomore LP African Elephants next year.
