While members are busy with a number of projects, My Chemical Romance is still planning a follow up to their 2006 album, The Black Parade. Guitarist Frank Iero had this to say in a Rock Sound interview:

Right now, it's really in the preliminary writing stage, just tossing back and forth ideas. There haven't been any real serious writing sessions yet. We're actually talking about getting together again this month, and after that in the new year we'll really sit down and start working on songs.

Frontman Gerard Way has been working on his comic series which may become a feature film, Iero unveiled his hardcore project Leathermouth, which will release their debut in January.
