Paint It Black has announced plans to release a new 7-inch/digital EP in June via Bridge 9 Records. The EP is the first in the series promised by the band last September. At that time, frontman Dan Yemin explained:

I've always been so obsessed with albums, but at this point I'm thinking let's have a go at the format that is the best format for hardcore.' A six song 7"

The band will be recording with producer Kurt Ballou (Converge in April 2009. Dan Yemin adds:

[This] is our fiercest shit to date. Except one song sounds like Fugazi having a three-way with Jawbreaker and Nirvana.

In two days the band will be kicking off a tour with Propagandhi.
