Alternative Tentacles are reporting that they will be reissuing some obscure early 80s skate punk records this summer. AT notes that "this is not the Sum 182 Warped Tour brand of skate punk. It's the *real* deal from when skaters weren't sponsored and skate parks were mere castles in the sky." First off is the band FREE BEER, including brothers Tony and Tommy Guerrero on guitar and bass. AT will be releasing "The Only Beer That Matters" on LP/CD on July 8th. Next up is LOS OLVIDADOS from San Jose. The band was featured on the MRR compilation "Not So Quiet On The Western Front" and the early Thrasher magazine compilations, but self-destructed in 1983 before a full-length could be released. This will be the first official release of the bands album, "L.O.S.J.F.O." on CD/LP, also on July 8th. Finally the DRUNK INJUNS recordings from 1983-84 collectively titled "From Where the Sun Now Stands I Will Fight No More, Forever." Will be released on CD/LP (you guessed it) July 8th. AT describes them as "bands like the Dead Boys, Joy Division, the Ramones, Sleepers, Hank Williams, Negative Trend, Rik L Rik, and the Doors rolled up into one with a vicious twist."
