Some updates from Alexisonfire who recently released a new iTunes app and are also planning a new EP. The app allows people to watch videos, post messages to the band's board, view concert dates, live photos, commentary from the band and access to their news feeds.

With regards to a new EP, the band spoke to Spinner and mentioned the EP as the result of a "really crazy riff" and an ensuing album title, Dog's Blood. Co-vocalist Dallas Green commented:

[The riff] turned into a song, which probably would have never made it onto an album because it's a bit too crazy. Then George [Pettit] came up with 'Dog's Blood' so we decided to name the EP that. They're completely different-sounding songs and would probably never make it onto a [full-length] record. That's what EP's are for though, completely miscellaneous stuff.

The EP hasn't been recorded yet, but art has already been prepared:

We're always last minute artwork people, so to have it already done is amazing -- it's something we've never had in our lives. We didn't give [artist Skinner] any direction. here's the band name and here's the name of the EP, feel free' and he sent us this amazing cover art and back cover art before we even had any of the other songs done

The Canadian band issued Old Crows / Young Cardinals last year. They are supporting it on a forthcoming tour featuring Trash Talk, Therefore I Am and La Dispute.
