Vic Ruggiero of The Slackers has collaborated with writer Phil Nerges on a new release for Asian Man Records entitled Don't Feed The Cats In Iraq. The album contains eight songs and and seven tracks of readings by Nerges, based on the experiences the writer had working as a civilian in Iraq during the height of the war. The CD is coupled with a 150 page book of stories, poems and songs.

More information is available here. Vic and Phil also have a MySpace page where a few of the songs can be heard; check that out here.
