Due to overwhelming demand, Gearhead Magazine / Records is finally bringing Gearfest to the USA! The festival started in 1998 with Sweden's The Nomads and has since grown huge in Scandinavia, spreading to Helsinki, Finland in 2000 and Oslo Norway in 2002. Over the years nearly every major Nordic rock band has played the festival.

The US show will take place in Austin Texas at Emo's over Labor Day weekend (Friday August 30th, Saturday August 31st and Sunday September 1st). Thirty bands will hit the stage and there will be car shows during the day on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 per night (10 bands a night) or $55 for a whole weekend pass, they're available here.
