Q: Is Screeching Weasel hated on Punknews? Should I be embarassed to like their new album :( A: Don't be embarrassed if you like something, regardless if it's loved or reviled by your peers or critics (well this doesn't apply to everything, Nazi's are pretty much universally disliked, with good reason). As for the Weez's status on punknews, I don't think the band is disliked, so much as the antics of Ben Weasel, as of late. I don't think many people will deny how influential Screeching Weasel was to a lot of bands and fans of punk but it's harder to keep the discussion on that topic when the frontman of the band is busy lashing out at acts 1/2 his age and maybe 1/10 as popular. Also, defending Sarah Palin doesn't do much to help that image.-Rich
