Here's the latest batch of news from various independent Canadian record labels. Vancouver's Sterile Records has released info on their first releases, Triple Threat Records has set up a new distribution company, Oi-Man Records is looking for a new logo and Pop Culture Records is starting a new EP series titled Northern Exposure. Anonymous writes us with news from Vancouver's Sterile Records. The label's first release will be the debut full length from Stutterfly, a melodic metal band from Kelowna, BC. The album "Broken In Pieces", is available in record stores Canada-wide. This fall, Sterile Records will release a debut EP by Edmonton's Drive By Punch and a full-length by Israel's Man Alive.

Dan Furlan writes us that Canadian label Pop Culture Records, is currently seeking bands to participate in their future series titled  Northern Exposure. The series hopes to showcase some of the best up-and-coming talent Canada has to offer. Each volume in the series will feature six or seven songs from one artist. Anonymous writes us that Oi-Man Records have launched a new contest. The label is looking for a new logo, the person who comes up with it will win a pack of CDs. All entries must be submitted to oimanrecords@hotmail.com. The contest ends on September 21st. Also, the track list for the label's upcoming compilation will be released soon.
