Rolling Stone magazine has (yet again) compiled a list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists, with Jimi Hendrix at number one.

Among those profiled are Johnny Ramone of the Ramones, Ron Asheton of The Stooges, Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth, Tom Verlaine of Television, and Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols. Conspicuously absent is the late, great, D. Boon, of Minutemen fame. He once enjoyed the vanuted vaunted position of 89th on the list.
