BYO Records is reporting that The Filthy Thieving Bastards will be playing their first shows soon. The Swingin' Utters side-project released their debut album "A Melody of Retreads & Broken Quills" last year to positive reviews. The band, featuring Utters members Johnny Bonnel and Darius Koski, Spike Slawson also of Me First & The Gimmie Gimmies, producer / drummer Randy Burk and Greg Lisher of Camper Van Beethoven.
