Some updates have come out regarding the stabbing at Friday night's CBGB Festival kick off show, featuring Cro-Mags and Sick Of It All. The New York Times reported on the incident, quoting Cro-Mags singer John Joseph as saying: "[Harley Flanagan] has been a negative thorn in the side of this band forever. I hope he gets what's coming to him."

The New York Post also reported on the incident, noting that Joseph had attempted to prevent Flanagan from gaining access to Webster Hall that night, due to threats the former Cro-Mags bassist had been posting on Facebook. The piece also adds more details about the long-standing animosity between the two men.

New York Music News also posted a short piece, including some, uh, insightful commentary from folks on the street outside Webster Hall following the show shutting down.

The band also issued an official statement on Sunday:

WE… as a band are truly sorry for the way it all turned out in every regard even the ex-member who's family is now effected by his choices. Our prayers go out to them as well as Mike C., and the others who were hurt, but it was 'his' choice to come to our concert with a hunting knife, standing by our dressing door. Who knows what his actual intent was, obviously he wasn't there with it to cut bread for a peace offering as he was heard saying outside he was putting an end to us playing without him. Let's move on now & stop the trash-talking. Keep that PMA - that's what we are all about.

William Berario and Michael Couls, the two victims of Flanagan's actions, were taken to the hospital immediately following the incident and were treated for non-life threatening wounds.
