Failure announce reunion
by

'90s space-rock titans Failure have reunited. So far, the band only have one show planned for Feb. 13 at El Rey in Los Angeles, but frontman Ken Andrews tells SPIN that more activity is likely:

At this point, the only for-sure plan is this show at the El Rey. I have a feeling it's gonna turn into more than that. We haven't finished anything yet, but we have a few recordings that show that we have something left to say musically.

Failure broke up in 1997, a year after the release of their third album Fantastic Planet. While "Stuck On You" became a minor MTV and radio hit, the album fell well below Warner Bros.' commercial expectations -- though it eventually became an influential cult classic -- and that, in addition to internal turmoil, led to the band's demise. In the interim, Andrews released music with ON and Year of the Rabbit and eventually transitioned into a successful producing and mixing career.
