Today's first new review is Renaldo Matadeen's take on The World Is A Beautiful Place and I Am No Longer Afraid To Die's Whenever, If Ever:

The multiple vocalists and intricate guitar-picking add so much dissonance while keeping a steady melody. Fusing such a fuzzy pop feel with fits of indie and even screamo may seem overreaching, but to this band, it's not a difficult task at all.

Then, Matthew Bentel checks out the latest Marked Men-related project Radioactivity and their new album, also called Radioactivity:

Contributing both reworked Novice tracks and original material, the end result is the eponymous Radioactivity - 13 songs built on '60s garage rock aesthetics, '70s power pop themes, and an unrelenting bent toward infection. Radioactivity sounds like the Marked Men because it is the Marked Men - back from the dead, an evanescent manifestation offering a mix of relief and closure for those still reeling from the Men's absence.
