Dalaplan; Polysics; The Weaks

This is Adam E., and if you're like me, you've cleared your schedule to enjoy every minute of the Winter Olympics. And if you're like me, you're probably wondering if Olympic athletes really eat as much McDonald's as those commercials would have you believe. Either way, here's your Happy Meal, the prize is three new reviews:

First, staff reviewer Rich C. checks out the self-titled record from Sweden's Dalaplan:

The best way for me to describe Dalaplan and this album is to say that it's nigh on impossible to remain still when listening to this.

Second, reader I-type-poorly takes a spin with Action!!!, the new release from Japan's Polysics:

For a band with a reputation of being over the top, there is subtle restraint and focus put into this album. It's a great place to start for newcomers, a welcome return to those who have forgotten this band has existed for the last five years, and a good second look for those who have found them to be too goofy.

Last but not least, staff reviewer Ricky sings the praises of The World Is A Terrible Place and I Hate Myself and Want To Die, the new EP from The Weaks:

If you are into The Ergs or Masked Intruder you'll probably be into this EP. Definitely check it out. It'll be worth keeping an eye out for future releases from this band.
