The traveling arena tour of Jesus Christ Superstar, featuring John Lydon, Michelle Williams of Destiny's Child, Brandon Boyd of Incubus, and JC Chasez of NSync has been canceled. No reason has been given for the cancellation. However, producer Michael Cohl, who was a part of the troubled Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark musical, stated that in order to keep afloat, the musical would have to earn "several hundred thousand dollars" each night. John Lydon was slated to play the part of King Herod.
