Rats in the Wall

Punknews is thrilled to stream the debut album by California's Rats in the Wall. The band features Brad Logan of F-Minus and Leftover Crack, as well as Eva Hall, Mike Westcoe and Donny Morris.

On the disc, the band tears through 14 tracks of blackened, dystopian hardcore. But, as they cut through their 90-second smashers, there are flashes of classic Anarcho-punk, slight deviations into stoner metal and even a few winks towards classic space-rock. Throughout the whole thing, Logan's rumbling guitar serves as the backbone, sounding as much like a instrument as it does a Harley-Davidson. Meanwhile, Hall channels Penelope Houston and Amy Miret, creating a sound that is as mean as it is rocking.

The album is out via Logan's own Blacknoise Records. Meanwhile, you can stream the release here.
