Manitoba's, the legendary punk dive bar in New York City's Lower East Side/Alphabet City has been saved after raising $32,000 via a campaign on Indiegogo. The bar was in danger of closing after more than a decade on Avenue B. Owner, and Dictators vocalist, "Handsome" Dick Manitoba explained the situation:

I wish someone could come to the bar and say 'These ten things have to be fixed for this to be ADA compliant,' and I would fix it. But some people in the world rub their hands and see situations, and how they can make out in these situations. And that's what happened.
