Davey Dynamite: "Rock N Roll" (Punknews Exclusive)
by

Today, Punknews is pleased to debut "Rock N Roll," the new single by Davey Dynamite.

Speaking to Punknews, Davey said "I always jokingly say that this song is about rock 'n' roll and existentialism, but it’s not a joke! I got into a very weird/bad headspace for a while where it felt like nothing mattered. No matter how much logic I was able to use when arguing with my brain, the prevailing feeling/philosophy that would randomly envelop me was Sure, like yeah, this is cool or whatever, but everything is pointless so just shut up. It’s a very fun place to be, especially when you’re trying to make and perform art… So this song was kind of written as a way to yell at myself while facing this issue upfront while trying to build logic that would work to make things feel better. I truly believe that, even if you can argue that life or anything is pointless, we have an ability and freedom as human beings to assign meaning however we want and build our own. I also 100% unapologetically rip off both Neil Young and Frank Turner in this song."

Davey's album, Holy Shit is out December 20th via Dying Scene Records. Check out the new single below, right now.
