Johnny Ramone annual tribute includes Buffalo '66, Billy Idol, Steve Jones

The details for the 2017 edition of the annual Johnny Ramone tribute have been released. This year's event will be July 30 at Hollywood Forever. One of Johnny's favorite films, Buffalo '66 will be screened and introduced by its director Vincent Gallo. Further, Ramones memorabilia owned by Johnny and Tommy that has never been displayed publicly will be exhibited. There will also be art displays by Shepard Fairey, Lucas David and Shag, and a pop-up gallery from Morrison Hotel Gallery, which will be Dj'ed by Howie Pyro. In additon, there will be a short ceremony honoring Chris Cornell, who was a friend of Johnny. Lastly, Steve Jones and Billy Idol will be playing some acoustic songs. The Johnny Ramone Tribute is a fundraising event for the Johnny and Linda Ramone Foundation, which provides funding for Dr. David Agus at the Center for Applied Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at USC.
