Doll Baby: "Alive" (Punknews Exclusive)
by

Today, Punknews is pleased to debut the new single by Doll Baby.

Bending a Bauhuas coolness around the riverbed drenched walls of Jesus and Mary Chain, the band details a dreaded visit to the hospital on "Alive.". But, just as the track seems like it's going to be a 4AD-style wake, the band revs up the engine and tear into a gritty attack. It's an unexpected turn from a band that flips from a steely calm to jagged chaos at the drop of a hat.

Speakng to Punknews, the band's Dan Kelly said, "I know its a dark subject, but we wrote this song after a friend of ours' dad committed suicide. The song is about people living lives that they're uncomfortable with and dealing with life when it gets overwhelming."
