ZDNet UK is reporting that MP3.com, a favorite song hosting resource of small bands, is in trouble. The company is set to close it's European arm in a month's time and is currently looking for a buyer for it's US business. The company was bought by media giant Vivendi Universal for $372 million (USD) in May of 2001 but has failed to live up to expectations with it's pay services. Finding a US buyer may be tricky.

We'll report more when it's announced. We've got about 50 articles in the queue from bands linking their mp3.com sites.
