Steven Tyler sends Trump another cease and desist
by

On Tuesday, President Trump held a rally in West Virginia in order to support his current presidency. During that rally, the Trump campaign played Aerosmith's "Livin' on the Edge."

Steven Tyler, singer for the band, stated that the usage was not authorized. Today, his attorney sent the Trump campaign a cease and desist letter, citing trademark infringement by Trump. The letter stated, in part, "This specifically violates Section 43 of the Lanham Act, as it ‘is likely to cause confusion, or to cause mistake, or to deceive as to the affiliation, connection, or association of such person with another person[…]What makes this violation even more egregious is that Mr. Trump’s use of our client’s music was previously shut down, not once, but two times, during his campaign for presidency in 2015."

Trump previously received a cease and desist from Tyler during his 2015 campaign when he played "Dream On" before his speeches. According to Tyler's attorney, this infraction occurred at least twice, but Trump, surprisingly, ignored the law.
