Jann Wenner, who founded Rolling Stone Magazine and who co-founded the Rock & Roll Hall of fame, is stepping down as the Hall's chairman. He's held that position since 2006, following the death of Atlantic Records co-founder Ahmet Ertegun. A new chair will be appointed in January 2020. John Sykes, President of Entertainment Enterprises for iHeartMedia, will take over then.

Wenner sold his remaining ownership interest in Rolling Stone in 2018.
