Rolling Stone has given a studio update from Jimmy Eat World, who are currently finishing up their 4th full length in a California studio with producer Mark Trombino. Frontman Jim Adkins reports that the album, due early next year, is "a little bit darker" than their Bleed American, "But I'm sure dark for us is nowhere near dark for most."

The band is recording sixteen songs, no word on how many will end up on the record. The band is five weeks into the sessions with a few more to go. One of the songs Adkins mentions he's particularly happy with is a track titled "Kill," which never repeats lyrics even in the chorus. Check out the full article here
