Mates Of State have finished up their music video for "Ha Ha," the first track off their [spectacular] new album Team Boo [review]. Polyvinyl Records describes the video as an ode to Bruce Conner's "Breakaway" video which many consider to be the first music video. Antonia Christina Basilotta (aka Tony Basil) starred as the breakaway dancing vixen who by video's end is fully nude. While the Mates don't go quite as far, MTV still rejected the clip for airplay, deeming it too "arty" [but are still graciously hosting it on their webpage].
