us that Salt The Earth have updated their website to clear up some rumours: There has been a lot of rumors floating around the internet so we thought we'd set the record straight. Late Friday night on December 5th, Marty was dropping a friend off at an after hours birthday party. To make a very long story short, a fight broke out with some frat boys and one of his friends. Marty tried to help his friend and he ended up getting stabbed in the face with a knife by one of the frat boys. The knife went in at an angle right under the lower portion of his lip and went all the way through the skin into his mouth down past his chin. Marty was rushed to the hospital for surgery. After a long night in the hospital, lots of lost blood and 31 stitches later Marty was released. We at that time were not sure if he would be able to sing after his accident and were looking for a replacement singer so he could recuperate.
Last week Marty went to the doctor and the doctor said that he's going to be fine. All the stitches were removed. Police are on the case and are trying to get the guy for attempted murder. We would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support through all of this. Everyone please try to have a happy holiday and we'll see you on the road in 2004.
