The Libertines' website has reported that the band has completed their first week of recording with producer Mick Jones. Tracks recorded so far include "Can't Stand Me Now", "The Narcissist," "The Likely Lads" and "Road to Ruin."

Guitarist Pete Dohery's side-project Babyshambles will release a limited edition single soon on London indie label High Society on May 10th. The song "Babyshambles" will be backed by "Flophouse" on a limited run of CD singles and 7" vinyl. The CD version will include a demo of "What Katie Did." Babyshambles will feature Doherty, Patrick Walden from London's The White Sport on bass and Seb Roachford on drums. This is the first of several singles that band will release throughout the year.
