Toronto's Tangiers, who's debut Hot New Spirits is constantly in my stereo (and was wrongfully overlooked in my year end review), will release their follow up Never Bring You Pleasure in Canada on April 27th, in the US on June 24th and in the UK on July 19th. The band's lineup has evolved with early member Shelton Deverell returning to the band and ex-Guided By Voices member Jon McCann drumming on the album and select tour dates. Sonic Unyon has posted the song "Ro Ro Roland" online and it shows a noticeable development from Hot New Spirits' garage punk beginnings.
