A new film on Joe Strummer will premiere at next month at the New York's Tribeca Film Festival. Strummer and his friend actor/filmmaker Dick Rude had initially planned to make a film about the release of 2001's Global a Go-Go. Rude filmed Strummer's promotional efforts for the record including a fall 2002 tour in Japan. The footage has been made into a film titled Let's Rock Again!.

Strummer's passing early in post-production sidelined the film until now, but Rude told Rolling Stone in an interview that he forced himself to stay true to the original concept. "It was suggested that I should do something retrospective… But I thought that would be wrong, because it's not what we set out to do." You can find the full interview at Rolling Stone.
